ZOO BUILDINGS – HERALDIC ZOO

The main idea of project is to design heraldic zoo in the area of old castle park Horní Hrad, which is located few kilometers next to the Karlovy Vary. Heraldry is science of knowledge of family symbols. Concretely it will be zoo, which will be focused on animals, which can be found on the old czech signs. The idea comes from surrounding relations of dramatic terrain and it's affected by context of the historic monument. Castle is the huge dominant of the all views to the surrounding countryside.

Reconstruction of the chateau in Ivanovice na Hane

Goal of this final thesis was reconstruction of the Chateau in Ivanovice na Hane and repurposing of it's spaces. The thesis is made on a level of architectual study. Studied area is located near the center of the Ivanovice, the object is part of the premises of the Bioveta a.s. corporation. The thesis deals with gentle repurposing of the object's spaces and the Chateau's garden. The intention of the investor was to have offices, small brewery, small accommodation and a café. The design is opening the object and the near garden for the public, there are newly created space for museum in the Chateau. The structure of the chateau was supplemented by glass lift in the yard. The utility room is located in the basement. The brawery, beer tasting, café and reception is on the first floor. Museum is located in the second floor complemented by seasonal exposure and accomodations. Museum is focused around Thirty Years’ War and the history of the chateau and Ivanovice. The offices are on the third floor, and they are made for interacting with the public. Connection of the chateau and the garden is an important part of the design, and its done formally and informally using also the linear objects. The garden was divided into three units on the southern side: The symetrical garden, space for holding an accompanying events and park. The space on the northern side was divided for parking of the employees of Bioveta and parking for visiters of the Chateau. The garden is opened for public and new connection between north-west and south entrances was made.

Perception of cultural and natural values and visitor preferences in Český Krumlov

This bachelor thesis deals with the perception of cultural and natural values and visitor preferences in Český Krumlov against the background of tourism in the South Bohemian Region and Český Krumlov. It also deals with the topic of further development of tourism in South Bohemia. The introduction contains the aims and hypotheses of the thesis, discussion of the literature and methodology of the thesis, followed by an introduction to the geographical conditions of the South Bohemian Region, the district and the town of Český Krumlov. In the next part it deals with tourism in these areas and tries to answer the question what are the further possibilities of tourism development in South Bohemia. It also focuses specifically on Český Krumlov, its historical, natural and cultural monuments, and especially on the castle garden. The last part of the thesis is the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, confirmation or refutation of the hypotheses and drawing conclusions.

Studie vybraného památkově významného objektu krajinářské architektury

The thesis focuses on the complexity of revitalization of important landscape architecture monuments by emphasizing the application of the method on a specific model object as the castle garden in Veseli nad Moravou. The contribution is in the proposition of the revitalization of the castle garden and its integration into the wider context and the connection with the port of Bata canal. The proposal provides the unconventional approach to the revitalization with the purpose of integration of adjacent diverse surfaces into an interconnected field, while averting the suppression of the cultural and historical significance of the castle garden. Additionally, the paper addresses the necessity to develop a new form of Bata canal Veselský port, which capacity is currently insufficient, and proposes a new way of using the inner area between the port and castle garden. While the historic garden requires rather sensitive approach, it is possible to design a more liberal solution for the port area. Analytical and design part emphasizes the expansive image process with diagrams, situations, drawings and visualizations.

Obnova vybraných částí zahradních úprav zámeckého areálu Valeč v Čechách

The topic of this thesis is to determine the key principles for the future advancement of a specific monument of garden art. The thesis is based on detailed analysis of history and current situation of the historical complex. The model territory of the thesis is the chateau complex in Valeč in Bohemia. Whole thesis is dividend into three parts – literary part, analytical part and design part. The main focus of design part is the restoration of the former chateau nursery. The aim of the architectural study is not only the restoration, but there is an important addition too – the adaptation to new needs. The utility space is being converted into the space for visitors. The nursery is closely connected with the greenhouse of the Valeč chatteau.

Předprojektová příprava obnovy památky krajinářské architektury

The aim of this thesis is to describe the individual parts of the pre-project preparation for restoration monument of landscape architecture in the model area of the chateau garden in Austerlitz. The key document of the work is the methodology Architektonicko-historický průzkum památky krajinářské architektury by Krejčiřík, Pejchal and Pavlačka (2015). Within this methodology there also used sectional methodologies Dendrologický průzkum v zámeckém parku (Pejchal, 1995, Machovec, 1976, Kolařík, 1994 in Janíková, 2015), Vybrané otázky hodnocení vegetačních prvků (Pejchal, 2005) and the methodology used in the previous dendrologic survey (Janíková, 2011) was also followed. The contribution of this thesis is testing of a new methodology for the monuments of landscape architecture, especially the basic document for this garden, which has not been developer yet. It is the basis on which the next phase of the project documentation can be built.

Revitalisation of the historical garden of the Castle Liblice

This diploma thesis of project charakter, deals with revitalization castle garden of castle Liblice in central region of Czech Republic.
The main goal of this thesis is based on the curent and historical state of the castle garden, to design a project with new plantings in the parter so it imitates the original baroque style in whitch it was created efore. After that propose suggestions of procedures suitable for the revitalization of the garden and it is greenery.
Theoretical part of the thesis called Literary review is focused not only on history of the village where the castle is situated but also on the history of the castle itself, baroque gardens in general and least but not last the architect of the castle and it is garden. There are also described general characteristic of the trees and shrubs, which are in the garden as well as descriptions of work during revitalization such as tree cutting techniques or lawn care.
In the analytical part is briefly described charakter of the area from its location to its climatic data. There is also described curent state of the castle park focusing mainly on the architectural errors and interventions, which are going to be necesary to execute during the revitalisation. List of greenery contains all trees and shrubs in the garden since 2005 and color features the ones removed during past years. After the consultation with the director of the castle there are mentioned activities and actions for which is the castle and garden used nowadays most of which also contributes along with the curent survy to the suggestions and interventions suitable for this revitalization.
Project part deals with the design of the parter behind the castle. This design is created so it imitates the former baroque parter as much as possible, but also respects condotions of its curent use. All expenses in this design will be calculated in the form of ekonomic balance.
Lastly in this project, there are proposed another important interventions for revitalisation of the castle garden, They are in the form of current state photos with drawn in suggested changes.
This thesis will be beneficiary for the Czech Academy of Sciences, which owns this castle and it is garden .
